Dr. Matias Slavov

I have completed 60 ECTS of Teacher’s Pedagogical Studies, thereby fulfilling the Finnish teacher qualification requirements. Over the past fifteen years, I have taught in several institutions and worked with a wide range of student groups, including upper-secondary, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students.

I see myself as a pedagogical chameleon: there is no single correct way to teach. Depending on the context, I may use constructivist methods such as group work, discussion, and student-centered tasks. At the same time, I believe lecturing should remain the primary method of university teaching, with students taking efficient notes from the instructor’s spoken exposition.
